An Education Program of The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts
Finding Artists and Arts Education Programs
On this website, you will be able to find information about the educational programs offered by artists and cultural institutions in a wide variety of art forms. Showcase artists and arts organizations go through a screening process by a panel of educators and artists. Their programs are aligned with either Kentucky standards (Core Content and Program of Studies) or the National Standards in the Arts.
Each Showcase artist has a webpage on this site with contact information, program description, pricing, curriculum connections, and a video sample or interview. There are two ways to find the Showcase artists:
- Using the Artist Directory tab (found at top of the page)
- Using the Artist Search button (green button to the right).
The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts is grateful to the following organizations who helped make this online directory possible:
- The Center for Rural Development which designed the original Arts Education Showcase, hosted the site in its early years, and did much of the video filming used on this website.
- Kentucky Educational Television (KET) which broadcast live Showcase performances and interviews at the Center for Rural Development on their teacher channel and online.
- The Kentucky Arts Council which provided additional funding to help the Kentucky Center with the costs of developing and launching the Showcase website in its first year.
