The Kentucky Center for the Performing ArtsThe Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts was established in 1983 as a premier performing arts center for Kentucky, and home to five resident companies: The Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Opera, Louisville Ballet, Stage One, and the Broadway Series.  The Kentucky Center provides artistically diverse performances of the highest quality, and serves Kentucky through education and initiatives which expand and diversify audiences while enhancing their understanding, appreciation and support for the arts.  The Kentucky Center has received national recognition for its education programs which include ArtsReach, Governor’s School for the Arts, Arts Academies, Kentucky Institute for Arts in Education, Artist Training Seminar, and Parents & Teachers as Arts Partners.

The Center for Rural Development

The Center for Rural DevelopmentThe Center for Rural Development is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Somerset, serving 42 counties throughout Southern and Eastern Kentucky. The Center’s mission is to provide leadership that stimulates innovative and sustainable economic development solutions and a better way of life for the residents of our service area.  The Center has more than 10 years of experience providing arts education programs in its 760-seat state-of-the-art theatre in Somerset, Kentucky through its School Time Theatre programs.  They’ve also recently added an outreach program hosting educational arts performances for students in remote, rural and economically challenged areas throughout its region, furthering demonstrating The Center’s belief in the value of and its support for arts education.
